[1] Careful readers may have noticed that I'm using a different section of the scene from
what I had used with the 1Ds test to illustrate the moire issue. This brings us to the perils of real-world
testing. It turns out
that the lines that appeared as moire artifacts with the 1Ds and reasonably well-resolved
with the SQ 150mm lens when I did the 1Ds test resolved on neither the 5D nor the SQ
this time. I guess it may have something to do with the light. They resolved well with the SQ 250mm, though,
and degenerated to moire patterns when the EOS 5D image was cropped square and blown-up to
compare with the SQ 250mm.
